Omobolarinde Akinyanju, well known as Ashabi, has addressed a message to the public. On his Instagram page, Ashabi stated that success draws opponents and advancement generates jealousy.
According to the mother of two, if no one dislikes someone, they are unlikely to succeed in life. “Success drew enemies. Progress breeds envy. If nobody hates you, you’re not going to make it in life.

Kikisblog reported early this month that Ashabi had premiered her new movie, The Deputy.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, she appreciated her fans at home and abroad for gracing the official launch of her movie and said their presence, love, and support meant the world to her. Ashabi expressed her humbled response to the overwhelming turnout and the beautiful energy they brought with them.
Early this year, while revealing her New Year resolution, Ashabi made it known that she will be staying a lot of Nos this year as she wants to do jobs that she would be proud of and be happy doing. The mother of two noted how bills aren’t a joke as she questioned how she would be able to pay her bills if she worked for free.
Last year, Ashabi slammed a troll who labeled her a babymama while checking up on her. Giving the troll an update on her health status, she referred to the troll as barren.
The fast-rising Yoruba actress had, in another post, appealed to her Maker. She shared a video of her in tears, surrounded by her cast mates, as she expressed gratitude to her Maker for a successful project and noted how she cried and laughed, but God knows what her real feelings were.
