Three bodies have been found by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) in the building that fell on Tuesday, May 28 in the Ikorodu neighborhood of the state.
A 74-year-old man and two siblings, ages 18 and 12, were among the deceased. The three individuals who were trapped beneath the fallen building have been rescued, according to a statement issued by Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of LASEMA.
He also mentioned that the LASEMA Pre-Hospital Care Unit had rescued and cared for nine adult males.
Kikisblog had reported that an incomplete two-storey building facing Mobil Filling Station (formerly Bugon Filling Station) in the Ota-Ona area, caved in, leaving an unspecified number of people tr@pped. Over ten people were, however, rescued from the rubble.
