
Ajewole Olamilekan was sentenced to life in prison by an Ekiti State High Court in Ado Ekiti, but Omoyajowo Ayo was released and found not guilty of conspiracy and rape.
Judge Adekunle Adeleye arraigned Ajewole Olamilekan (age 33) and Omoyajowo Ayo (age 25) on two counts of charges that bordered on rape. On June 29, 2024, in Ayetoro Ekiti, within the court’s jurisdiction, the defendants “did conspire to rape a 10-year-old girl, contrary to Section 31(2) of the Child’s Rights Law, Cap.C7, Laws of Ekiti State 2012.” according to the charge.
Prosecutor O.B. Ayeleso brought five witnesses and presented the defendant’s remarks, medical report, medical records, CD-ROM, and Flash drive as evidence. Ajewole Olamilekan defended himself by speaking through his attorney.
