After criticizing Isreal DMW, the logistical assistant of Afrobeats artist Davido, for what she calls arrogant and domineering behavior, reality TV actress and Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Phyna has ignited a new internet controversy.
After Israel allegedly confronted Phyna over WhatsApp and chastised her for being close to his former wife, Sheila Courage, the drama broke out. Israel took issue with Phyna’s recent posting of Mauritius holiday photos with Sheila.
Israel allegedly told Phyna that hanging out with someone like Sheila would make it impossible for her to find a good man.
But the BBNaija alumna was having none of it. She claimed that she vehemently rejected Israel’s counsel, maintaining that she is free to choose who she wants to be friends with.
“He told me associating with Sheila would affect my chances with men. Can you imagine?” Phyna stated in an Instagram tirade. “I told him off. No one tells me who to be friends with.”
Following their exchange, Israel reportedly blocked Phyna on both WhatsApp and Instagram—a move that escalated tensions. Phyna responded publicly, dragging Israel on social media in a fiery outburst.
She ridiculed him, calling him a “houseboy” who survives on handouts from his boss, Davido. “You’re not even on salary. You live off ‘Oga dash me’ money,” she said mockingly. “You’re an embarrassment to Edo men.”
Phyna, who hails from Edo State like Israel, didn’t hold back as she accused him of disgracing their home state by constantly begging for money from celebrities and powerful figures.
The online spat has since gone viral, with fans weighing in on both sides. While some support Phyna’s outspokenness, others argue that the feud could have been handled more privately.
