According to police on Wednesday, a father in Pakistan’s Punjab province allegedly shot and killed his daughter because she would not remove her TikTok account. The event took place at the Rawalpindi district’s Dhok Choudrian Takht Pari neighborhood.
Authorities said that the father had frequently told his daughter to delete her TikTok account. He allegedly shot her dead on the spot when she refused.
According to the police, the suspect left the site right away after the gunshot. A manhunt is in progress to find him, and an official First Information Report (FIR) has been filed.
Initial reports suggest the family tried to mislead investigators by claiming the incident was a suicide. However, forensic evidence gathered from the scene pointed to foul play.
The victim’s body was sent for autopsy as part of the ongoing investigation.
