Adamu Yakubu, 70, has been taken into custody by the Jigawa State Police Command for reportedly k!lling his sister over a land dispute in the state’s Dutse Local Government Area.
The suspect hit his sister, Hannatu Hashimu, with a stick after a furious dispute over the division of the inherited family land, according to a statement released by the command spokesperson, SP Shi’isu Lawan Adam, on Friday, July 4.
After being taken to a hospital, Hannatu was declared dead by the attending physician.
