The passionate birthday letter that Nollywood star Jim Iyke penned to actress Kate Henshaw earlier this year has finally been discussed. Jim Iyke stated in a recent interview that he didn’t write to please anyone and that he meant everything he wrote.
He clarified that the message was just his way of saying that he has been friends with the person for more than 20 years. He claims that one of the few individuals in his life with whom he can talk without worrying about criticism is Kate.
Without any romantic or segxwal overtones, he referred to her as “his boy,” someone he fully trusts and with whom he can be vulnerable.
He also addressed the assumptions many made about the tone of his message. “There’s nothing segxwal about it,”he said. “This is someone I can speak my truth to and get honest advice from. It’s just a genuine friendship.
