Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has identified three current top wingers in the world.
The 45-year-old provided his response during a recent rapid-fire round of questions with ESPN. When asked to identify his top three wingers globally at present, Gerrard selected Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, Real Madrid’s Vinicius, and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
The former Aston Villa head coach stated: “Lamine Yamal, Vinicius, and Mo Salah”. Yamal contributed to Barcelona’s LaLiga title win last season and is considered a top contender for the 2025 Ballon d’Or. Vinicius finished as runner-up in the 2024 Ballon d’Or, behind Manchester City’s Rodri.
Salah, meanwhile, played a key role in Liverpool’s Premier League title win last season.
