This revelation comes nine years after the news of their separation went viral online. In April 2016, Mide took to social media to confirm the separation, alleging that Afeez had moved out of their matrimonial home following a minor argument. However, during a recent appearance on the ‘Behind The Fame’ podcast, Afeez provided his account of the incident, stating that the crisis was exacerbated by Mide’s online post. He recounted how social media nearly ruined his marriage and expressed gratitude that the couple eventually reconciled after Mide apologized. Afeez emphasized that the issue should have been resolved privately but was instead escalated by social media. Mide Martins is the first daughter of the late actress Funmi Martins, who passed away in May 2002. Afeez Owo, who was Funmi’s manager, married Mide in 2003.
