
Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles, have departed for South Africa ahead of the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Bafana Bafana, KIKI’S ONLINE NEWS reports.
The Nigerian contingent embarked on a journey to South Africa aboard a ValueJet Airline. The trip comprised 22 players, technical crew members, officials of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, and supporters club members.
Due to injury, Victor Osimhen, the talismanic forward, will miss the game. He picked up the injury during the Super Eagles’ 1-0 win over Rwanda in Uyo on Saturday. On Tuesday, Nigeria will face South Africa in a matchday eight encounter at the Toyota Stadium, Bloemfontein.
The highly anticipated game will kick-off at 5pm Nigeria time.
