Bovi, whose full name is Bovi Ugboma, has opened up about his relationship with fellow comedian Basketmouth, indicating that despite being on good terms, their shift in interests has resulted in a drift in their paths.
In a recent interview, Bovi shared insights into his priorities, balancing family life with career progression, thereby opening up opportunities to explore different creative outlets, including filmmaking.
His self-described tendency to get bored easily has led him to continually seek out novel experiences.
This inclination, Bovi explained, has fueled his efforts to build a personal brand, highlighting his capabilities as a solo comedian.
Bovi declared, “I have no issues with Basketmouth; nothing occurred. I’ve responded to this question before. You comprehend my viewpoint.
Interests changed, especially for me. I wanted to focus more and spend additional time with my family. I also sought to elevate myself. I become bored with activities quickly.
Therefore, when I’m engaged in something for too long, I try to do something else.”
Bovi further discussed his perspective on financial independence, highlighting his preference to prioritize his own success over sharing profits with others.
Bovi stated that this major shift in focus has provided him with opportunities for growth, both professionally and financially.
“You know, as you are aware, I transitioned into filmmaking.
I went back to television and then I sought to establish my own brand, demonstrating my ability to engage audiences independently.
I also considered the financial benefits, recognizing that I can fill large venues like Eko Hotel, which reduces the need to share revenue with others. As a result, I can keep all the money myself,” he added.
