The Lagos State Government has announced plans to undertake critical repair works on Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, a vital artery connecting Victoria Island to Lekki, commencing Monday, September 15, and concluding Sunday, September 21, 2025.
The repairs, focusing on the stretch from Bonny Camp Junction, will be conducted exclusively at night between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM to minimize disruption to commuters and maintain the flow of daytime traffic in one of Lagos’ busiest commercial hubs.
In a statement released on Sunday, Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, highlighted the government’s dedication to enhancing road infrastructure while prioritizing the convenience of residents and businesses.
The decision to undertake repairs at night underscores our commitment to minimizing disruption in this high-traffic corridor,” Osiyemi said.
We recommend that motorists demonstrate patience and work with traffic management officials during this period to guarantee a smooth transition,” he added.
