Edo State House of Assembly Deputy Majority Leader Natasha Osawaru Idibia has written a heartfelt tribute to her husband, renowned Afrobeats artist Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, on the occasion of his 50th birthday on Thursday.
In an Instagram post, Natasha referred to the award-winning singer as “the love of my life” and expressed her delight at sharing her life with him despite their 20-year age gap.
She wrote: “Happy birthday to my beloved partner in life. You are celebrating a significant birthday, marking 50 years. Oh wow!!!!!! You are 20 years my senior, yet you look younger than me. This is indeed an interesting paradox.”
Expressing her heartfelt gratitude, she added, “Innocent Ujah Idibia, my husband…. words cannot adequately capture the immense joy you’ve brought into my life.
My joy is truly complete with you by my side. This year has been the most exceptional year of my life…. waking up to you every morning is one of life’s greatest treasures, and I am grateful to God for that blessing.
Baby, I aspire to spend each day loving and caring for you for the rest of my life. I love you and happy birthday, my darling.”
As one of Afrobeats’ most enduring legends, 2Baba continues to inspire fans with his timeless music and remarkable love story.
As he turns 50, tributes are pouring in from fans, colleagues, and fellow entertainers, who hail him as a pioneer that has paved the way for a new generation of Afrobeats artists.
