
According to reports, FIFA has appointed Amin Mohamed Omar of Egypt as the centre referee for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Benin Republic.
On Tuesday, 14th October 2025, the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo will be the venue for the matchday 10 encounter.
Omar will lead an all-Egyptian officiating team.
Ghana’s Prosper Addo has been appointed as the Match Commissioner.
Nigeria and Benin Republic are vying for the top spot in Group C with two matches remaining in the qualifiers.
Benin Republic currently leads the standings with 14 points from eight games.
