New Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior is reportedly eager to sign former player Valentin Barco,
according to recent reports.
Calum MacFarlane will oversee Chelsea for the second and final time when they face west London rivals Fulham on Wednesday evening.
Rosenior reportedly wants to reunite with the Argentine midfielder, who has been on loan at Strasbourg since January 2025.
Barco, 21, initially joined Strasbourg on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion before making the move permanent over the summer.
He established himself as a key player under Rosenior, making 38 appearances for the club. Barco’s versatility proved useful, as he can play in various roles, including central midfielder, winger, or wing-back.
During his time at Brighton, Barco made just seven appearances after signing from Boca Juniors in January 2024.
He also spent time on loan at Sevilla, making nine appearances. Top player though.
