Following a fire outbreak at a well-known Kara Market in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, certain products, including timbers and woods worth millions of naira, have been destroyed. According to Gistmania, the regrettable event began early on Sunday morning.
Abuzaid Yari, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, called the fire a regrettable event in a statement.
The state fire service’s prompt response was also praised by Yari. He went on to say that the government was still dedicated to protecting its citizens’ lives and property.
The statement reads: “The government sympathises deeply with the victims and prays that Allah replenishes their losses.
“We appreciate the swift action of the fire service, whose efforts prevented further damage.”
