
which is set to take place this September 27th at prestigious Watercress Hotel and Suites Ikeja, aiming to recognise and celebrate outstanding young entrepreneurs whose work is contributing significantly to Lagos State’s emergence as the fifth largest economy in Africa.
The disclosure was made in a statement on Monday by the organisers of the event, which is spearheaded by A List Events management company.
The awards seek to inspire a new generation of business leaders, reward excellence, and promote the critical role entrepreneurship plays in economic development.
The event will feature a range of activities, including mentorship sessions, lectures, pageantry, an official magazine launch, entertainment by top Nigerian musicians and comedians, and the presentation of awards in various categories.
The Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director of Layeawards, Mr Ashifat Saheed Oluwanisola Godspeed, said the platform has grown into a credible avenue for promoting youth-led innovation and providing visibility for both individuals and corporate brands.
“Layeawards has, over the years, gained the recognition necessary to give both individuals and corporate brands more hype, as the event packages varieties of opportunities to reach out to your target markets in an historical and unlimited ways,” said Ashifat.

The CEO added that this year’s edition would also sensitise, inform, and educate the public about the event’s objectives, highlighting the calibre of past and future awardees as well as the transparent criteria used in the selection process.
Ashifat noted that the awards would target collaborations with government agencies, non-governmental organisations, corporate institutions, and high-net-worth individuals for sponsorship, partnership, and support.
