After discovering a pistol on his wife, the Lagos State police detained a guy in the Ipaja neighborhood.
According to CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, who told reporters about this, the wife and another woman were stopped by the police for a stop and search, during which the semi-automatic weapon was found.
“Watch as these policemen harass two women and insist on looking through their bags.” That’s what the story would have been.
Police officers from the Ipaja Division discovered this semi-automatic weapon in their possession after taking a quick, non-intrusive glance through their bags.
One of the ladies led the police to the owner of the firearm – her husband. Case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
One less illegal firearm in circulation.
