Nigerian singer Portable, known for controversy, has promised to support any political party willing to provide him with financial compensation in the 2027 general election.
Portable made this statement in a viral video posted on his Instagram page on Thursday. Addressing his fans, the singer stated that he would be endorsing any candidate that first offers him money irrespective of the political party.
Portable disclosed his reasons, saying: “I cannot effectively campaign while struggling with hunger.”
My fans, hope your voter’s card is still intact ? We will be voting for any candidate that gives us money. Election is starting soon. I’m voting for anyone that gives me money, that can help my life. I’m the owner of my life and my voter’s card. Bring the money and let me help my people, the people are hungry.
If it is APC that come first with money they will own me. If PDP come first, I will also collect. Even if it is Peter Obi, I will ask you to vote for him. Vote for anyone who gives you money. Vote for your helper,” Portable stated
KIKISNEWSLINE reports that Portable called out President Bola Tinubu in 2024 for failing to offer him financial support after he supported him during the 2023 presidential election.
