The rankings, which surveyed 1,907 universities across 108 countries, assessed the institutions based on 18 performance indicators across five key areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry, and international outlook.

Ahmadu Bello University, Landmark University, and the University of Ibadan secured the second, third, and fourth positions respectively. This ranking also highlighted significant global shifts in higher education, incorporating 134 million citations from 16.5 million research publications and insights from over 68,000 scholars worldwide.
